Mohamed Salah, the star player for Liverpool and Egypt, has an injury that is “more serious than first thought,” according to his agent, who made the announcement on social media. The winger will miss more time than anticipated.

The 31-year-old sustained a hamstring injury during Egypt’s second Africa Cup of Nations match against Ghana, which alarmed Liverpool and the nation’s supporters.

Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, has refuted reports that the Liverpool star will only miss two games during the tournament, saying that Salah will actually be out for a much longer period of time.

Muhammad Salah’s agent stated on X that Salah’s injury is more serious than initially believed and that he will miss 21 to 28 days rather than only two games. His greatest chance of playing in the current AFCON is to return to the team as soon as he is fit and go through a rigorous rehabilitation programme in the UK.

Salah will miss around a month of activity, and it appears that Egypt reaching the final on February 11 is the only opportunity the superstar will have to play in the Africa Cup of Nations once more.

As the Reds continue to pursue all four of the titles they are in contention for this season, Liverpool supporters will be hoping it doesn’t last much longer than that. Jurgen Klopp’s best player is without a doubt Mohamed Salah, and the German coach will understand how critical it is to have the great player from Egypt back as soon as possible.
